First in my ink splash series: jumping tiger. Rwoaaar!
I've done a few ink splash drawings before, but Inktober is the perfect time to turn this into a full project. Mowar animals and portraits coming, stay tuned.
This is an unedited video, meaning that I took the speed painting video automatically generated by the app, added my website info and a soundtrack.
Speaking of which, when looking for a music to illustrate the video, it turned out that a few month ago, I did one that had the right feel. But it was kind of a short raw jingle.
So I jumped back into Garageband, and fine tuned it to have a longer piece, the tiger cut. Oh, and yep, the length is no coincidence...

The illustration process is quite simple. Basically, I start with a quick sketch of the subject. Then do some dots that will give an idea of the shape. And finally, I style the splashes.
The trickiest part is choosing where to put ink or not. To do or not to do...
