This was actually the first time that I went outside, sit down and do a live drawing of a masterpiece. Because I'm not comfortable drawing with people watching me, and worst, in a crowded place. But, I braced myself and took up the challenge.
And of course I used my all time favorite drawing app, Procreate. Because of the automatically generated time-lapse videos.
The first sketch I did was in a marvelous basilica, with nice music in the background (I shazamed quite a bit in there). Quiet place, gorgeous artwork, nice music: The perfect first time.
The Trevi Fountain was the second one. Totally different experience. Out in the open, a ton of people, and also a bit of rain went to interrupt me. But still, I had a great time.
And the last one was in the Pantheon. Another quiet place, but with way more people than in the basilica. And therefore I couldn't pick a deserted bench. Which was the perfect example of why I didn't draw in public spaces until now: I could feel my neighbor glancing at my screen...
