The "1 Jour 1 Dessin" project, where I did one drawing a day was too exhausting. After two months I decided to slow down. I took a little break. And rebooted the project, but once a week. And with a broader audience, not just the French speaking community. Hence the new name. But same rules. People come with some ideas in the comments, vote, and I draw the wining one for the week after. This time it lasted 6 weeks. Maybe I'll reboot it again...
"A race between the Battlestar Galactica, the Captain Harlock's Arcadia, Weasley flying car (Ford Anglia), the Millennium Falcon, the USS Enterprise, the DeLorean, Goldorak and obviously the TARDIS. And the animator is GLaDOS." Request by Thomas.
"The restaurant scene but with Hulk and Director Fury" Request by Ingrid.
"An aging Lucky Luke with grey hair, as an hipster, smocking an eCig and taking Rantanplan for a walk" Request by Milca.
"Octarine. eight, magic, kind of fluorescent yellowish-red-green, the world's creation, Death is sharpenning his scythe, eight colours rainbow. Reading pleasure, discovering a new world, gold shinning on the continent, a counterweight, elephants, a giant tortoise, space, a far-fetched pantheon." Request by Lionel.
This time I added a little constraint, to force people to find inspiration outside geeky topics.
I asked them to imagine what would they do, with whom, where, how, if they could travel back in time.
"A big banquet à la Astérix & Obélix, where the guests would be: The Scream by Munch, Two Young Girls at the Piano by Renoir, a street art painting by Misstic with the quote, The Little Mermaid of Eriksen in Copenhagen, a sexy pin-up of Gil Elvgren and the lying Buddha.
In a happy ending banquet, after a great victory, like in the comics, I would organize this big meal. In this lovely evening, in the garden of Eden by the light of Alexandria's lighthouse. The security guards would be Pantagruel & Gargantua. And to rock it hard 'Les Ogres de Barback' would be playing live." Request by Sandie.
And for the last one, I did another little constraint: only one word. Yep you're right, I wouldn't be trapped into a big scene with 20 people twice.
"Apotheose" Request by Rose.
