There is a brand new product on Society6 now: leggins. And as you know, legs have a particular shape. You can't smash any design on it and call it a day. Well, I could, but that's not how I work. I create things that I would actually buy for myself.
For this new design I started by creating a pattern, made of multicolor lines. It looked nice. Then, from that I went to create the whole piece, for art prints. And there is one particular place with a lot of lines... big cities, like New York.
And I went back to my leggins design. Added the buildings, on the leggs end. It was better.
After that, I needed this piece to look great on t-shirts. Without a rectangle shape on the edges. Again, some modifications, new bits here and there. The turning point was when I decided to play with some reflection, as if there was a lake or river. I loved it. And then, I went back again to my leggins file...
